It’s Easy to Host a Fun AND Safe Super Bowl® Party

Whether you’re cheering for your favorite team or tuning in for the commercials, you’ll score points with family and friends when you host a party around your television. Help make it enjoyable and safe for your guests by taking some simple precautions.

The Insurance Information Institute offers the following tips for party hosts:

·         Offer nonalcoholic beverages

·         Serve food in addition to beverages

·         Avoid drinking too much, so you can remain a responsible host

·         Make sure any guests who drink alcohol have a designated driver

Remind guests as they exit to wear seatbelts and avoid texting on their phones when they drive home.

Got big plans for a Super Bowl® party? Don’t forget to clean your walkway and steps of snow and ice before the guests arrive. Slips and falls may be the stuff of slapstick comedy, but in real life, accidents on snow or ice can cause serious injuries.
