What Does A Home Warranty Cover?

A home warranty is a service contract that covers the repair or replacement of parts and components of your home’s systems and appliances when they break down due to normal wear and tear. 

A home warranty can offer four types of warranty plans:

• Systems components
• Combination (both appliances and systems)
• Build your own (specific appliances and/or systems)

You may be able to add on optional coverages for an additional fee.

The warranties cover normal wear and tear—for instance, a dishwasher would be covered if it began leaking due to its age; a dishwasher would not be covered if its door was broken by a child jumping on it.

• Pool only
• In-ground spa only
• Pool/in-ground spa
• Additional spa
• Well pump
• Septic pump & septic sewage ejector
• pump (only available in first year of contract)
