You might have a full holiday schedule of celebrations, travel and gift giving, but remember the season is also a busy time for burglars.
Thieves know people often spend time away from home during the holidays, leaving personal valuables such as jewelry, electronics and collectibles unattended. Lock doors and windows when you leave home, and make sure any home security systems are functioning properly to help reduce your risk of a burglar entering your house. If you plan to travel, stop your newspaper and mail delivery while you are away.
